Plan your runs, hikes, bike rides…

Plan your routes: draw your itinerary on the map, then save your trip.

How to plan your routes?

  1. Pin your places on the map

Click the map to add every spot you want to visit: a summit, a lake, a trailhead or a running loop.

  2. Pick a date or a period

A specific day, a week, a month or a year: see what is coming up and what needs planning again.

  3. Draw or link the route

Draw the route from the place, import a GPX file or link a ride you already saved: distance, elevation and duration are computed.

Planning FAQ

❓

How do I plan a hike on the map?

Click the map where you want to go, name the place, choose the activity and a date or a period, then save. You can then draw the route from that place.

❓

Is the route planner free?

Yes: with a free account you can plan a limited number of places. Explorer makes places unlimited and adds route tracking on mobile.

❓

How do I know which places to plan again?

A place whose date or period has passed without a completed ride is flagged “To plan again” in the list, on the map and in the reminder email.

❓

How do I mark a route as done?

Link the completed ride to the place, or mark the planned ride as done: the place switches to “Completed” automatically.
